Welcome to the second edition of our newsletter! Summer is well under way, and this tends to be a time when we enjoy some relaxation and play time, making the most of holidays in the sunshine.

It can be a time when our sense of wellbeing reaches a peak and we can feel energised to invest in what we need to ensure optimum physical and mental wellness.

We have two events coming up to celebrate summer, which could help to give some impetus to this period of rejuvenation and relaxation. And if you are not feeling inspired at this time of year, this will hopefully offer you support at whatever stage you are in your own personal journey.

Women’s Circle: Saturday 15 July

Like horses, humans are social creatures and our sense of belonging, security and nurturing comes from our connections to our communities – be those families, close friends, social groups. The circle offers you an opportunity to spend a couple of hours in a supportive environment, focusing on whatever you choose to and to share your experience with like-minded souls.

With the multiple responsibilities women have to juggle, it is easy for us to lose focus on caring for ourselves. And sometimes it may feel as though there simply isn’t enough time for us to do so. Making sure you allocate time to cater for your needs is not selfish: it’s a necessity. It’s time to check in, gain clarity and discover your next steps.

It has been wonderful to receive positive feedback from those who have attended, to welcome back familiar faces and to meet newcomers.

Places are limited to a maximum of four, to allow each participant an opportunity to spend time with the ponies to reflect, connect, receive feedback and share learning.

To book or get more information, contact Julie: info@therapywithhorses.co.uk.

If a group feels a little overwhelming right now, there is also the option to book an Equine Wellbeing Experience, where you can benefit from one-to-one attention to work on a specific area of your development.

We’re thrilled to be participating in the Wye Valley Wellness Festival at Abbey Mill, Tintern on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July.  Come along and sample some free workshops offering a variety of wellbeing experiences and pop in to our stand to say hi.
