A TIME TO BLOSSOM!

Spring has brought us her abundance of beautiful blossoms and we’ve been enjoying watching the dandelions and nettles sprouting. These are wonderfully healthy for horses and humans! Dandelions are rich in potassium and help to cleanse the liver. They can also help to ease pain and inflammation. Nettles are used as an anti-inflammatory and can improve respiratory health. Nature is truly amazing in what she offers us!

The warmer weather has encouraged the grass to grow rather suddenly too, which can be problematic for ponies, due to its high sugar content. Like humans, ponies need to sustain a healthy weight to prevent putting pressure on joints and the heart. Much of life is about finding the right balance!

Self-care is so important to our physical and mental well-being. Time is always going to be a juggle to meet never-ending needs, so finding little things to include in your daily routine can help to integrate  self-care nto everyday life. It might be that you schedule more regular breaks, spend some time outside, get your body moving, meditate for 10 minutes, list 5 things you are grateful for, or connect with friends and family.

On the subject of connection, we have two events we would like to invite you to:

WOMEN’S CIRCLE

This is a monthly gathering of a small group of women who meet outdoors to share thoughts and challenges. Time is spent tuning into our heart space and intuition, working with each other and the ponies to gain clarity and insight. Themes are based on what the natural world is reflecting, as well as any specific issues the circle members would like to focus on.

The next meeting will be held on Saturday 17 June from 13:30 to 15:30. Payment of £45 per person is required in advance to book your place. If you’d like further information, take a look at our Facebook page, or email me: info@therapywithhorses.co.uk.

SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION

When the hazy days of sunshine reach their peak, it’s time to celebrate what we have achieved from the seeds sown and nurtured during the winter months. It’s also a time to reflect on where next to focus our energy and attention.

We will gather in the field at 18:00 on Wednesday 21 June and engage in some ceremonial activities to offer the opportunity to contemplate what’s passed and what we would like to manifest in the months to come. We will feast on a light picnic together, with the invitation to share experiences and seek inspiration.

Places are limited and payment of £45 per person is required in advance to secure your booking. More information is available on our Facebook page, but you can also email me if you have any questions.

If group work feels a little overwhelming, you might like to try a one-to-one session or equine well-being experience, where there is the opportunity to work on a deeper level, with myself facilitating and supporting you.

We would like to thank everyone who has worked with us. It is a real honour to witness the transformations which happen when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and trust that we will receive the guidance we seek to take our next brave steps.

Enjoy the glorious sunshine and we look forward to seeing you soon!
